I finally finished season 1 of final space.
Only 2 years too late. Lmao.

Don’t know if I’ll watch season 2.
It was good, but I found myself happy with the ending of season 1 and I am sure more will completely ruin it.

I finally started watching Space Force. I was so happy to see Diedrich Bader, Dan Bakkedahl, Jimmy O. Yang and Fred Willard. Then got to the end of the first episode and found out that Fred Willard died. which was an AWW moment.
An AWW moment like when Christopher Evan Welch died after season 1 of Silicon Valley. :frown:

If it gets picked up for season 2, I'll probably watch more.

I watched the first episode of Lovecraft Country from HBO, I'd give it a solid B-. It was pretty good if you're into fantasy horror, or period pieces from 1950s Jim Crow-era America.

watched the start of S32 of The Simpsons last night & oh dear god they have totally wrecked Carl Carlson with the new voice. It just sounds so wrong that I now kind of fear whats been done to other shows, when I watch new Family Guy what will Cleveland sound like, well hopefully better than Carl does. Political correctness & such gone absolutely mental, next they'll be calling for a real 10 year old boy to voice Bart

I watched Console Wars, it was pretty good. There's a lot less technical information included, but the interviews were well done. Definitely worth it.

I saw Spitting Image and loved it even though I didn't understand 40% of the references to British political figures. But it was so mean it was still funny even when I didn't know. And all of the Trump stuff was hysterical.

I've been watching Aunty Donna's Big Ol' House of Fun on Netflix, it feels good to find a wacky comedy show like this

I’m binge rewatching the IT crowd.

I still can’t pick a favourite episode, after this is done I’m gonna find something serious to watch, my mouth is hurting from smiling too much.

I've got one more episode of The Stand to watch,
Spoiler
but it looks like it's more of a epilogue than anything
. Overall, I'd say it was pretty good. I'd say that Alexander Skarsgård and Owen Teague were perfect fits for Randall Flagg and Harold Lauder. The 2020 version spends a lot more time in New Vegas, and some of those scenes made my skin crawl. That alone makes me want to recommend it.

There's a lot of nostalgia for the original, so I think people were disappointed that this new version is a more straight-forward drama. But that's the problem of filming a Stephen King book: Do you go over-the-top or try to rein it back? I think The Stand (2020) did a fine job, but it won't be the best thing I watch this year. I think other reviewers I've read were a bit harsh.

Taskmaster NZ finished it last night & I have to say it was a bloody experience, sure the NZ Taskmaster needs time to settle into it fully but for a country with 10 people & a bajilion sheepy its great, but stereotype jokes aside it was far superior to the american attemt & I would happily watch more when/if it gets made, even though I have no clue who any of the contestents are, or the TM & his assitant if I'm honest.
Elsewhere finished off season 2 of Fire Force & now I just hope it gets a third season or at least a film to tie things up cos while its a good show it needs to return to finish the story not just end part way through, dubs not bad though (I know "dub bad" but its all I can manage these days)

I didn’t realise it was already out, I’ll check it out next weekend.

Just the other week I watched James May in Japan And the Hammond escape show.
This will keep me entertained until the next grand tour special.

If it’s hilarious you say, then that already puts it above The mythbuster Richard Hammond escape from the island show. It was pretty fucking terrible and I found myself skipping all the terrible acting and writing simply to see what got built next.
The builds were actually quite good. But the concept worked better than the actual show.

I didn't even make it past the first episode of the Hammond show. I might not have even finished it, to be honest. Clarkson's Farm honestly just feels like Clarkson fucking about in Top Gear, just with less cars and more farming :olol:

I've watched the new south park special. great.
And Richard Hammonds Workshop, good but I'd like more focus on the cars less setting up and running the business in future seasons.
next up is the new grand tour special. It's French cars, so should be great...

Hope its like the old top gear Peugeot episode, which was hilarious..
