I've been re-watching old ones recently, and those early seasons are just amazing. I stopped watching weekly at season 8 because while still funny, it was starting to be a bit samey so I no longer needed to watch each episode as soon as I could. And then when Adam Reed said he was stepping down on the creative side my incentive to keep watching waned. I don't think I finished season 11 (I made a point to watch him wake up and it could have served as a series Finale) and I've only seen snippets of season 12 and 13, but now it's ending, I'll probably make a point to watch the last season because who knows when this style of animation, comedy, storytelling and settings will happen again.

But still, 14 seasons of Archer has been a pretty good consolation prize for Frisky Dingo being cancelled 5 seasons too soon.

American Auto has been axed after its second season.

Bit of a shame, but I can kinda see why. It had its moments and I only binged the whole thing like a week or 2 ago.

It was nice seeing Andy Richter and Ryan Reynolds, and at least it didn't get axed on a cliff hanger or the middle of story.

But still, I won't be getting invested in any new shows till they've got at least 3 seasons with a 4th on the way. I'll continue watching and catching up on old shows that I know didn't get axed after 4 episodes.

Did you know that they made a new version of Night Court?

It's been renewed for a second season.

The final episode of season 1 had 2.42m people watching on NBC. The pilot had 7.55m watching.

TV is dead.

Nobody watches late night TV anymore but older people. SNL does better than the weekday 11:30 shows but people really just watch clips of skits the next day on youtube. The only SNL I've watched live in the past 5 years was the Elon Musk one because I knew it was going to be a total trainwreck.

I'd rather listen to Conan Needs A Friend than watch any of the shows.

It was over for me when Colbert moved to Late Show and Stewart left the Daily Show. Conan on TBS kind of stunk so I gave up on that around 2016-17 too.

Coincidentally, I watched the monologue from Fallon's 2003 guest hosting gig on Late Show this morning.

I forgot how much I liked Fallon back in the day. He was a pretty good replacement for Conan on Late Night, but I think we all know what the Tonight Show is like now.

Nowadays, I watch the classic Letterman and Conan clips for my fix. I miss the format and that feeling of appointment TV. I was 12 when I started watching Conan and his show was such a big deal.

SNL is still good and never was that bad unless you were sick of Trump jokes. That said, SNL has always sucked if you judge the show as a whole. Even your favorite era had dud sketches in each episode. That show thrives on YouTube.
