Has anyone played Mario 35? I've played a few games and come first 3 times total. I just can't get used to Super Mario Bros 1 gameplay for some reason.

I was super excited about it, but now that I’ve played a few rounds, the controls of Mario 1 are hard to adjust to. Momentum is very weird and caused me to mess up multiple times. Plus once you get to the top 3, the game drags on way longer than it should because the top players are just too good. The timer needs to run faster with every eliminated player to make the matches end faster.

I've honestly been killed by myself failing to get a hang of the Mario 1 controls again. There's generally very little other players do that kill me. It's usually me sliding off a platform with too mum momentum or me just missing a fucking ledge completely. I agree the timer does need to speed up.

Is it me or does Mario not seem to run as fast as proper Mario 1? I could be imagining it though

Most people generally agree that the running is not quite accurate, but the bigger problem is that we are so used to Mario Maker physics in Mario 1 that adjusting to the original is MUCH harder.

Even pre-Mario Maker I always find it weird going back and playing Mario 1 again

I haven't played it yet, but they should make a Warioware or NES Remix battle royale game. Either would be crazy and fun.

So I am doing better at the game than I thought, I just got my first win. My play style is super different than when I normally play Mario though, just take it slow and methodical after you get the fire flower.

I just keep using the warp pipe to go back to 1-1 after 1-2 :olol:

Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light is launching in the US for the first time ever. The tactical roleplaying game, originally released in 1990, will be available on the Nintendo Switch for $5.99 on December 4th.

It’s important to note that the release is for a limited time only, until the franchise’s 30th anniversary on March 31st, 2021. Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light isn’t the first game to adopt such a strategy; rather, it appears to be building on a Disney Vault-type play on Nintendo’s part. Super Mario 3D World’s availability is also set to expire on March 31st of next year.

It's another weird move by Nintendo.

I'll still get it because it's fairly cheap and should be worth a play through.
