Never thought I'd hear a rap song sampling Secret of the Forest from Chrono Trigger

Here's the electronic track that got burned into my brain while playing hours of Tetris Max on my dad's 68k Mac

Great suggestion, I haven't listened to much from them but this fits great with a 80s/90s playlist that I've been listening to.
I've also been listening to a lot of music from the 60s while I'm stuck at home:

I need to watch more of GST大好き's mix videos. I like the pop-up video style factoids

I'll Be Alright Without You by Journey has been an earworm for me over the past few weeks. For whatever reason, I never listened to it back in my classic rock/arena rock days of high school and college so it's been especially addictive.

Speaking of easy listening, I bought this absolute banger off of Discogs this week. We used to watch Lawrence Welk on Saturday nights at our grandparents' farm, so I have a soft spot for this kind of cheese.

That's some watered down tripe! The traveling bands of 1940s America are true accordion masters, dudes like Myron Floren are the true OG! /s

But seriously, polka is great live music ... for about the first 2 songs. When I had a small-town newspaper job, one place in Minnesota had *two* legendary polka bands. Here's the genre's dirty little secret: It all sounds the same.
