27 years ago? God, I'm old as shit now.

That's still one of the best heel turns ever.

Definitely agree that's the best heel turns ever. Also don't The Rockers have an unofficial World Tag Title win that was overturned?. Goes to show how stacked the tag division was back then when they didn't hold the belts. I would have had them beat the Hart Foundation instead of the Nastys at WM VII as a passing of the torch.

Yes, the top rope broke during a SNME match and for some reason they didn't stop the match and fix it, they kept going. Vince refused to air it and just said to pretend the title change didn't happen.

Thanks. Didn't the match turn up on a Coluseum tape or am I misremembering. Im assuming it's up on the WWE Network or on the Tag team DVD set they put out hosted by Miz and Morrison.

I don't know which DVD set, but it's on the Network. Probably the tag set you're talking about or one of the Shawn DVD sets.

Piledriver was much better. The Demolition song, Jive Soul Bro, and Vince high on coke singing Stand Back.

I can't even begin to imagine the amount of cocaine used by the men on stage that night.

Yea, although you had "Grab them Cakes", "Real American" & Hogan's OG theme by Jim Steinman on The Wrestling Album. Plus you had other fun songs on it by Hot Rod, Mean Gene, Hillbilly & Jimmy Hart etc. Jesse makes comments after some of the songs too. That "Stand Back" video always makes me :rofl2: Was six years later they put out the WrestleMania album and you'd think they would have put out a few or atleast one in that time frame considering wrestling was still popular in that time.

The Von Erich story is real sad & tragic. David most say had the most potential of them all, even more so than Kerry. So I think had he lived David definitely would have held the NWA World title. RIP David :(

Kerry was always going to be the bigger star because he had great charisma, always connected with fans, and the best physique in the family in the era looking like a bodybuilder was what made you a star. But David was a better wrestler and an amazing promo. Austin called him a big influence. David made you believe, so to me he's nearly in Dusty's class (although Dusty was a better talker since he was a wild character and David was like a real person.)

Speaking of Dusty promos, here's 40 minutes of him being the G.O.A.T.

My favorite part

Yea I was referring to David in wrestling terms. Kerry definitely had the look and charisma but David Von Erich was the better in ring performer and promo. Which is why the NWA would have put the NWA title on him.

Dusty is a great promo, arguably one of the best ever. Sad he's not around to see Cody bring AEW to fruition but I'm sure he'd be super proud of him.

Impressive because he looks like he's in The Doobie Brothers.

I guess we owe Vince Russo an apology. He didn't come up with the worst idea in WCW.
