I got that game for my 13th birthday but mine came with the NTSC cover that he showed, not PAL.

I prefer, and own, the NTSC cover version. It was probably the most common version in Australia.

I don't recall ever seeing the PAL cover. I never owned it but I did rent it a few times, I reckon it had the NTSC cover

I've seen it a few times but not as much as the NTSC cover. With most EA MD games we got the US cover at launch and then later on the UK one would appear, usually when it became a budget game.

It's good to see that the N64 modding scene is very normal

That's just the price of old Nintendo shit in Australia?
If I should Die Hard Arcade before I Alan Wake.

Yikes that's rough. It's about half that for an HDMI-modded system in the states, bids start at $900 USD. Unless you're the Monopoly Man, I just can't see how that'd be worth it.
Price fluctuate I guess too, but I doubt these HDMI kits will go down unless production ramps up. Now I'm getting online ads for cheap Gamecubes again at ~$50, when it seemed like prices were double that before.

Re: Retro Gaming Thread
It's cheap compared to super Mario 64!
Gamers are stupid. We firmly established this when the PS2 sold more than the Dreamcast. People spend more on trying to make old shit good than getting a brand new item that's better.
I looked at all the mods people do to make a Dreamcast good... Why not go out and buy a PS5, XSX, SWITCH and a couple of games for the same price as all the Dreamcast mods?
Or cables is a big one! Why are you spending $90 on a component cable for a super Nintendo?
And people seriously go out and pay $300 for a GameCube component cable when you can get a Wii with component cable for $50? And it does it better?
In 20 years can you imagine how much amibos will go for? They're not even games... But people go ape shit for some reason.
I'm just as guilty as everyone else though, I know it was stupid to pay $250 for a Saturn when the Reject shop was selling them for $50 brand new in 2001.
I know it was stupid to buy Panzer Dragoon Saga for 8 million dollars when I could emulate for nothing.
But modding a 64 for HDMI is particularly stupid, they still look like ass, and it's still the second worst aging Nintendo console after the Virtual boy.
