It's Home Alone 6. Anyone ever see or know about HA3/4/5?

Nope :olol: I remember when the third one came out, but never saw anything after Lost in New York.

Home Alone is the movie that reminds me of when rental stores required deposits. My dad couldn't find a copy anywhere, ended up at a gas station that had an attached movie rental store, and had to put down his credit card for a $50-$100 refundable deposit.

I'm nostalgic about a lot of things, but renting tapes is something I don't miss. It always brings a smile to think that the bloodsuckers at Blockbuster went out of business. I do miss the local chain, we didn't go there nearly as often because the back room creeped my mom out. Her and I ran into my cub scout leader when he walked out there.

Tangent time, I found a few photos of Video Mania. They had six locations in my hometown, and used to boast that they had the midwest's largest tape collection:

They bought an old Sherwin Williams and, if the legend is true, were too cheap to get rid of the paint cans. I don't blame them because the neon used to do a cascading pattern to make it look like the paint was flowing out.

The second picture was the one closest to our house, and played home to the infamous run-in with the cub scout leader. :olol: The owner was an eccentric, and tried anything to get a buck. He brought in some Gateway 2000 towers and CRTs for a web cafe.

The man loved porn, no doubt about it. His boy was in scouts too, so we'd go play F-Zero and Shaq Fu in the basement before our meetings. I remember walking by a seemingly complete collection of Playboy magazines each time. I was a naive kid and didn't think twice about it. :dontknow"

One of our other members tried to break into cars and got arrested before the fifth grade. Another kid was behind the curve, got held back a grade and I never saw him again. I always felt bad for him, he was a nice guy and that must've been hard.
