I'm very much OK with this

+1
Count me in.

“So that's meant Doug Naylor and the team undertaking a painstaking restoration process”

Now when it says painstaking, do they mean frame by frame individual touch ups to every single frame of every episode?
Or fixing the bits that look a bit shitty (lighting and shadow correction)?

“Painstaking” when it comes to restoration means hours per frame for the output of something magical.

If they only mean dedicated, it might be a let down.
The English language had deteriorated into a hybrid of hillbilly, valleygirl, inner-city slang and various grunts. Joe was able to understand them, but when he spoke in an ordinary voice he sounded pompous and faggy to them.

We only have the bodysnatcher collection here because my brother won it in a contest before it came out. The remastered episodes were horrible, but the collection did have the awesome special features that red dwarf is known for.

The contest was: in 25 words or less, what is the best episode and why?
My brothers entry of “episodes 1-52, because it’s Red Dwarf”
Was one of 5 winning entries for the bodysnatcher collection and it got sent to him about a week before it hit stores, it has been watched once in the decade since lol
I think those were shown on BBC when they repeated them. I wasn't a fan of those either but it was done to make RD more "up to date" apparently

Holly: We are talking jape of the decade. We are talking April, May, June, July and August fool. That's right. I am Queeg.
Lister, The Cat, Rimmer: What?
Holly: Queeg never existed. It was me all along.
Lister, The Cat, Rimmer: *What?*
Holly: Wheeze of the week, mate.
The Cat: It was a joke?
Holly: Going round in circles for 14 months. Getting my information from the Junior Color Encyclopedia of Space. The respect you have for me is awesome, innit?
Lister: So you mean you staged the whole thing?
Holly: [in Queeg's voice] That's right, suckers.
Holly: [in his voice] And the moral of the story is, "Appreciate what you've got", because basically I'm fantastic.
