Because little kids will buy anything with Mario. It's funny to me to see the kids today as crazy about Mario as I was 30 years ago when I was addicted to Super Mario 3 for NES. Time is a flat circle.

It's a Sega game with Mario in it, that's a studio that knows all too well how to zombify a series.ian wrote: ↑Sun Aug 25, 2019 12:22 amThe rest of the gaming world: Why are people paying for the same Mario game 150 times...Dr. Zoidberg wrote: ↑Thu Aug 22, 2019 9:19 pm Cool. That direct was insane. But the biggest announcement for me was Doom 64. Doom 64 is easily the best in the series for me, and I’ve been wanting so bad for it to come to modern systems. The PC mods are great, granted, but having it on Switch is amazing.

Re: Nintendo General Thread
Looks like a good lineup of games that'll do well on the Switch, it'll be really nice to have some SNES games.
It was definitely a better Direct than I had guessed, especially since it came out of nowhere. I wondered if they were going to focus more on Sword/Shield, announce some form of compatibility with the National Dex maybe. No new Mario Maker news kind of stunk, but oh well.
