Re: NBA Thread
Yea that's true, but they had the talent to get over the line. Horace had the championship winning experience but essentially it was Shaqs team and like you say he was fun loving but you need that killer instinct on the court. Had Phil Jackson,Pat Riley or Gregg Popovich had that team they'd have been NBA champs.
NBA trade news
Dwight Howard off to the Nets for Mosgov. Dwight had the talent to go far but he became a journeyman. I think the back injury he had was maybe too much to come back from. Was a top player for the Magic but once he went to LA he wasn't the same player.

A lot of talk of Kawhi to Lakers... Or the Celtics. LeBron has like 24 hours to make a decision of whether he's going to opt into his contract or not. Big part of the Lakers pushing for James is Kawhi Leonard will be a team mate.

I don't think he's ever going to be happy no matter where he goes.

Re: NBA Thread
LeBron or Kawhi? . LeBron was happy with D-Wade and Bosh in Miami. Kawhi always looked pissed off but maybe cause Pop going off most of the time. Great coach though.
So Bill Russell flipped the bird at Sir Charles

Chucks a good guy so I think Bill was just playing.

The Sixers apparently could be front runners but I believe he'll be a Laker. We need an updated version of this

Confirmed now, four year $154m contract to join the Lakers
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/basketball/44536262
Kawhi apparently said he might sit out next season, but I can't imagine Pop letting that happen.

Re: NBA Thread
No, they could take him to court if he's under contract but refusing to play without a injury. He's just trying to do a hardball tactic to force a trade. But if the Spurs won't budge he will play whether he likes it or not unless he wants to be sued in a case he's guaranteed to lose.

Re: NBA Thread
Yea there's no way they'd allow him to sit out the season purposely. Pop will probably trade Kawhi to the Eastern conference.
Demarcus Cousins to the Warriors
Lakers have brought in Lance Stephenson and Rajon Rondo. Where that leaves Ball and Kuzma, idk. I'd keep the younger players around him so their game will improve.
Um, yea...
Vince probably like at their parody statement though. With LeBrons mega contract, he be thinking...
HEY PAL, I'M GONNA SIGN HEHATEME TO THAT $250M, 1 YEAR CONTRACT

https://www.foxsports.com.au/basketball ... 6507393e0aDuring warmups, while both teams were running through their respective layup lines, a Filipino player is seen putting his leg out to trip Daniel Kickert. Kickert then turns and pushes a different Filipino player, before both teams came face-to-face, and had to be separated.

Re: NBA Thread
The bad thing for the NBA is the Western Conference Finals will be so huge nobody is going to care when they play the Eastern champs in the Finals. You can't go from those stacked teams then play the Celtics and get good ratings.
